• What is China’s position and attitude toward Sino-US economic and trade friction?

Since some people in the US provoked the Sino-US economic and trade friction, the two sides have increasingly taken divergent approaches to this issue. That is, s上海后花园

hould it be taken as a zero-sum game or based on mutual benefit, being addressed through confrontation or cooperation? Should the countries stay enc

losed or open up, maintaining a monopolistic or competitive market? Should the countries stick to unilateralism or multilateralism? All these differences are underpinned by the ulti上海后花园女神会所

mate question of whether the world is governed by the old way of hegemonism, or a new approach by building a community with a shared future for m

上海后花园女神会所ankind. China’s position and attitude toward these major fundamental issues is clear, firm and consistent.

Faced with the economic and trade friction provoked and escalated by some people in the US, China does not want a trade war. However, the country is not afra

id of a trade war and will fight one if necessary. Proceeding from safeguarding the common interests of the two countries and the world trade order, Chin上海后花园女神会所

a has responded to the concerns raised by the US with great sincerity. China overcame various difficulties, proposed practical solutions, and conducted 11 rounds of high-level ec

onomic and trade consultations with the US, which demonstrated China’s sincere desire of not fighting a trade war. How

ever, the US has continuously challenged China’s bottom line and overstepped the red line of norms governing international relations, att上海后花园女神会所

empting to sacrifice China’s rights to development and even damaging China’s sovereignty and dignity.

No matter how the situation develops, China runs its own affairs well. The fundamental way to deal with ec

onomic and trade friction is to develop itself through reform and opening-up, which China will continue to deepen.

To resolve these issues, three students from Tsinghua and the University of Tsukuba in Japan

The model then crunches the data and creates a line graph that tells the teacher exactly when and what p

Since agricultural products account for a relatively smal

ll percentage of China’s total exports to the US, the tariff hike is expected to have a limited impact on its overall trade. But Chi

na’s export of textiles, chemicals, daily necessities and some other products will be affected. Yet the effect of the h

igher tariffs would be somewhat offset due to the ratio of foreign capital and value-added goods in China’s foreign trade.

In terms of product category, the tariffs are targeted at intermediate and capital goods. Intermediate prod

ucts, capital goods, and consumer goods account for 51 percent, 32 percent and 17 percent of t

he $250 billion of Chinese goods on which the US has imposed higher tariffs (the US had already slapped higher tari

ffs of $50 billion of Chinese goods last year). And since 29 percent of consumer goods, 39 percent of capital goods and 74 perce

nt of intermediate products face higher tariffs, intermediate products will be the most affected by the US tariffs.

China expressed concern over an unprecedented “existential crisis” confronting the World Trade Orga

The proposal was submitted by China’s delegation to the General Council of the WTO in Geneva on Monday.

According to the documents released on the ministry’s website, China said rising unilateralist and protectionist practices cou

The abuse of using national security as an exception, unilateral mea

It was decided at the meeting that the practice of pre-commitment of qualification will be piloted in 13 pro

Leveraging private funds prioritized in BRI projects

China’s financial minister and central bank governor vowed to strengthe

der the Belt and Road Initiative, suggesting a new framework to assess debt risks for partner countries on Thursday.

The Ministry of Finance published a debt-sustainability analysis framework for the BRI’s participating economies at the start of t

he Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, a three-day event in Beijing.

Financial institutions of China and other BRI economies are encouraged to use the “nonmandatory” policy t

ternational standards provided by the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, according to the ministry.
